Brian has been in the technology space since the early 90's.

He received his Novell CNE certification and has never looked back. He started out building computers and servers and soon after got into the networking space. He transitioned to an onsite support role for Arthur Andersen, NY supporting 100 users. From there he took on a position in NYC to become a part of the elite IT dream team at Arthur Andersen.

Brian’s next step in his career was a managerial role at The Hearst Book Group and managed the entire support staff, while working hands on with everyone as well. A few years later he landed at HarperCollins Publishers. Following Harper he did some consulting for JPMorgan supporting the trading floor for international equities. As a very demanding position, Brian took control and showed leadership and commitment making it one of the best teams he had worked with.

B&L was formed and takes his experiences and molds them into a full service professional IT company. The company has grown steadily year after year and has always thrived on referrals from satisfied clients. The company also has a strong marketing platform that is used to communicate with existing clients as well as educate potential prospects.

Laura has been one of the voices behind B&L since its inception. Her role includes working with customers, vendors and helps Brian with office management. She spent time cruising in the Hauppauge area locating the perfect office space for B&L's new headquarters. It was time well spent as the office is very spacious and inviting to visitors.

Prior to this role, she had spent over a decade in the fashion industry working for Esprit, DKNY and alongside Tommy Hilfiger. Fashion was always her passion, but she stepped aside to raise a family and help out with the business.

When she is not working, she's busy at home with two boys and taking care of the house. She loves to go hiking and spend time at the beach and always enjoys a good sunset.

Ken has been with B&L PC since 2010.

He graduated from Marist College with a business dual-focused human resources and information technology degree. Ken enjoys problem solving and has found his niche in the IT world. His interest in technology has been lifelong; he started building custom PCs at the age of 12 and continues doing so today.

When Ken is out of the office, he loves to take weekend getaways and day trips. On days at home, he enjoys working on home improvement projects using skills he learned when working for his father's contracting company.

Dan joined the B&L team in November of 2018.

He graduated from Farmingdale State College with a bachelor's degree in Computer Programming and Information Systems. He has 7 years of experience in the information technology industry. Dan enjoys working with our clients both onsite and remote.

Outside of the office, he likes spending time fishing, playing video games, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.

Alex joined us in April 2021.

Alex is a recent graduate from Marist College with a Double Major in Computer Science & Cyber Security and a Double Minor in Information Technology & Information Systems.  He has spent the last few weeks training and shadowing staff on support calls and tickets. He will have an integral role in supporting end users with a focus on EDR and our cyber security stack.

Outside the office, Alex enjoys working on Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects in TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Matt is our newest member of the team. He graduated from Suffolk County Community College with an Associates in Computer Science. Matt has 4 years of experience in the IT industry and enjoys working on anything and everything involving technology. He has a strong passion for learning and helping others however he can.

Outside the office, he spends a lot of time playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, going to the gym and doing 5k's with his fiancée, currently training to one day attempt the NYC marathon

Chris has been working with B&L since 2016.

He is our talented tax specialist. He handles all of the tax software updates for all of our CPA firms. If you need someone to talk to in the wee hours of the night, call Chris because he's probably awake and installing updates! He has years of experience with Payroll tax rollovers, Thomson Reuters, CCH and a variey of other tax applications.

Joe is Joe. He's an extremely talented Level 3 Cisco engineer and handles many of our router and switch builds and can do most of the programming with his eyes closed (please don't try this at home). From setting up BGP routing, to registering and configuring an ASN and all of the "VLAN"ing in between, there is nothing that he cannot accomplish with a keyboard.

Bethany joined the B&L staff in March 2016.

She is very savvy with numbers and brings with her 20 years of bookkeeping experience. She graduated college with high honors earning an Associate Degree in Business. The start of her career began in a collections agency, then later moved on to a tree company and is now in IT, which is her favorite industry.

When she is not hard at work managing our finances, you can often find Bethany teaching dance, enjoying the great outdoors, and spending time with friends and family, especially her fur baby!

Michelle joined B&L in February of 2020.

She comes with an extensive background in the Marketing and Advertising Creative industry. Her eye for design & management skills over the past 20 years, has brought her here to head up the marketing team. Her passion for marketing, photography and graphic & interior design formed the backbone of her creative path. With years of advancing her career and exploring new industries her core focus always remained the same. It all comes back to Marketing and Advertising no matter where she lands. And now she's tackling the IT world at B&L.

When she's not at the office her home life consists of her husband and 2 kids. They all keep her laughing and on her toes every day. She loves to fill their calendar with fun activities they can do together.

Help Desk Dispatcher/Supervisor job responsibilities:

• Initial triage on all inbound support calls
• Answering incoming calls and responding to incoming tickets
• Organizing tickets in our queue and ensuring that technicians are handling them properly and quickly
• Dispatching tickets that are not able to be handled remotely to our on-site technicians
• Verifying that backups are functioning properly both on-site and off-site for clients
• Confirming that client's are satisfied with the products and services that are being provided to them
• Assist with organizing documentation for clients
• Creation of standard operating procedures
